I can't say enough about what great service I received at Dave's Auto Repair. I had a driveway oil change go bad, and they rescued me from a serious problem. I successfully emptied the crankcase of the engines life blood into a floor pan, and just as successfuly returned the artery drain plug to its rightful location in the crankcase. I carefully moved the drain pan under the oil filter canister in preparation of removal of the heart. Retrieving the trusty socket wrench and oil filter cannister removal tool, I deftfully applied the lefty loosey technique for removal of the cannister. The cannister didn't budge. I grabbed the convincer breaker bar, in a show of who was the mightier. I lost that battle by breaking a flange off of the plastic cannister, which also made a hole in the side of the cannister. The God of all things that can go wrong-will, had won the tool mastery war. I desperately needed the car on Monday and the tool war commenced on Saturday-a day that Dave's was closed. I leaped on the shops web site explaining the issue, hoping that somewhere there was a rabbit to be pulled out of a hat in my favor. I called a tow company after blurtting out a few expletives, letting the mechanical fix failure atone for its sin. First thing Monday morning, I called the shop and was pleasantly greeted by Shane, who said I ordered the parts, and they are here, we'll get started on it and call you when it's ready. Just a short time later that day, the magicians at Dave's had concurred what I could not, and actually made an improvement to the cannister, by replacing the nasty plastic vermin with a metal cannister. If I could break this metal cannister, the Hulk might need to find a new career. Thank you Dave's!!!
